AI Voice Operations

AI Voice Agent Services for Businesses, Built and Run on Your Phone Lines

We design, build, and operate AI voice agents that answer, qualify, book, and follow up on your existing phone lines. Telephony on an Asterisk core connected to your IP phone system, speech and language models chosen per workload, and every call logged, measured, and escalated to a person when it matters.

Who This Is For

Built for businesses where the phone is the front door

  • Companies that miss calls after hours, during peaks, or while the team is on site: contractors, property managers, clinics, dealerships, agencies.
  • Operations teams that spend hours a day on repetitive calls: appointment confirmations, order status, intake questions, payment reminders.
  • Sales teams where speed to lead decides the deal and every inbound inquiry needs a reply within a minute, not a day.
  • Businesses with an existing phone system they do not want to replace: the agent connects over SIP and keeps your numbers, carriers, and call flows.
  • Regulated environments that need recording consent, retention rules, and private hosting for audio and transcripts.

What We Build

Voice agents that do work, not demos

A DPI voice agent is a production system with telephony, speech, reasoning, integrations, and monitoring designed together. Each part below is engineered for your call types.

Inbound answering and routing

Answers every call, identifies the intent, handles what it can, and routes the rest to the right person or queue with a summary attached.

Appointment scheduling

Books, confirms, reschedules, and reminds using your calendar rules, service durations, locations, and staff availability.

Lead qualification and capture

Asks the questions your team asks, scores the lead, writes it to the CRM, and hands hot leads to a human while the caller is still on the line.

Outbound campaigns

Reminders, confirmations, collections, and re-engagement calls with consent records, calling windows, opt-out handling, and do-not-call checks.

Order, ticket, and account lookups

Authenticates the caller and answers from your systems: order status, invoice balance, ticket progress, delivery windows.

Telephony integration

SIP trunking into your existing PBX or cloud phone system through our Asterisk-based core, with transfers, hold, voicemail fallback, and call recording.

Why most voice AI projects stall, and how we build differently

Voice agents fail in production for three predictable reasons: the telephony is an afterthought, the agent is asked to handle everything, and nobody owns quality after launch. A demo on a vendor's number is easy. An agent that survives a Monday morning peak on your real lines, with your real callers, is engineering.

DPI starts from the calls. We listen to recordings, count intents, and design an agent for the top handful of call types that carry most of the volume. Telephony is built first, on an Asterisk core that speaks SIP to your existing system, so transfers, hold, voicemail, and recording behave exactly as your staff expect. The speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and language models are selected per workload: hosted models where capability and speed matter most, open-source models on your own servers where audio must never leave your environment.

What a production voice agent includes

Every agent ships with the same operational layer: a dashboard of calls by intent and outcome, transcripts with redaction of sensitive fields, containment and transfer rates, latency monitoring, and alerts when quality drifts. Escalation paths are explicit. When the agent is unsure, it asks; when it is out of scope, it transfers with a summary; when a person is unavailable, it books a callback and writes the record.

Integrations are done through APIs, not screen automation. Calendars, CRMs, ticketing tools, order systems, and databases are connected so the agent can act: book the appointment, create the lead, look up the invoice, send the confirmation over WhatsApp or email. Actions with financial or safety impact require confirmation or a human sign-off, configured per client.

Inbound, outbound, and hybrid deployments

Inbound agents answer, triage, resolve, and route. Outbound agents run reminder, confirmation, collection, and re-engagement campaigns with consent records, calling windows, and opt-out handling built in. Hybrid deployments handle overflow and after-hours inbound while running scheduled outbound work in quiet periods, which is often where the return shows up first for service businesses.

Measuring the result

We agree on the metric before building: answered-call rate, speed to lead, bookings per week, no-show reduction, minutes returned to staff, or cost per handled call. The monthly report shows the number, the transcripts behind it, and the next improvements. That is what turns a voice agent from a novelty into infrastructure.

How It Works

How a voice agent goes live

  1. Call discovery

We listen to real calls, count them by type, and define what the agent must handle, what it must never handle, and where it hands off.

  2. Conversation and integration design

Dialog flows, data lookups, calendar and CRM actions, escalation rules, consent announcements, and the voice and tone of the agent.

  3. Build and test on your lines

The agent runs on a test number connected to your phone system. We test against recorded scenarios and live calls with your staff until quality targets are met.

  4. Production launch

Gradual rollout by call type or time window, with a human fallback on every path and dashboards for containment, transfers, and outcomes.

  5. Ongoing operation

Transcript reviews, prompt and model tuning, new intents added, latency and quality monitored, and a monthly report against the metric you chose.

Stack & Integrations

Voice stack and integrations

Telephony stays yours. Models are chosen per workload: hosted frontier models for capability, self-hosted open-source models where audio and transcripts must stay in your environment.

FAQ

Questions about AI voice agents

Do you deploy enterprise voice agents across multiple sites?

Yes. Enterprise deployments add what single-site ones do not need: one agent definition rolled out across locations and brands, routing by site and language, single sign-on for the teams who review transcripts, per-site reporting, and a security review of data flows and retention before launch. The telephony core connects to your existing PBX or SIP trunks per site, so numbers and carriers stay as they are.

What does voice AI development cost?

Three layers: the build, which is a fixed scope driven by call types, integrations, and languages; the per-call cost of speech and language processing, which drops sharply when models run self-hosted at volume; and monthly operations. We quote the build in writing after a short call and show the per-minute economics for both hosted and self-hosted paths. Our AI call center cost guide breaks the layers down.

Do we have to change our phone system?

No. The agent connects to your current PBX or cloud phone system over SIP through our Asterisk-based core. Your numbers, carriers, IVR, and queues stay as they are, and the agent takes the calls you assign to it.

How natural does it sound, and how fast does it respond?

The agent speaks in a natural voice and responds within a fraction of a second on well-tuned pipelines, fast enough for real conversation. We measure latency and interruptions during testing and tune the speech and model choices until the experience meets your bar.

What happens when the caller has an unusual request?

The agent recognizes when it is outside its scope and transfers to a person with a summary of the call so far. Nothing dead-ends; a voicemail or callback path exists for every branch.

Can it run entirely on our infrastructure?

Yes. Open-source speech models and language models such as Qwen can run on servers you control, with telephony on Asterisk and data in your PostgreSQL. This is our standard design for healthcare and financial workloads.

How do you handle recording consent and TCPA?

Recording follows the consent rules of the states involved, with announcements where required. Outbound calls are placed only with documented consent, inside calling windows, with opt-out handling and do-not-call checks. Details are on the security and compliance page.

How long does it take to launch?

A single-purpose inbound agent, such as answering and scheduling, typically goes live within weeks after discovery. Multi-intent agents with several integrations take longer; the discovery sprint sets the date.

How is this different from an AI receptionist app?

Off-the-shelf receptionist apps are built for generic calls on their own phone numbers. DPI builds the agent around your call types, connects it to your systems and your telephony, and operates it as part of your business. See the AI receptionist solution for the packaged version.
